Health benefits of Hemp Seed Oil by GOOD
Essential Fatty Acids in Hemp oil
GOOD Hemp Seed Oil is a Superfood! It contains the Esesential Fatty Acids (EFAs) Omega 3 and Omega 6, which are essential to GOOD health. The body cannot make these EFAs, so they must be supplied by food.
Having the right balance of EFAs can contribute to the health of the heart, to skin and hair, the immune system, joints and to cholesterol balance.
GOOD Hemp Seed Oil is unique amongst edible seed oils because it has what many medical professionals consider the optimum balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 for our bodies - with a ratio of 1:3. A tablespoon (15ml) has 2.5g of Omega 3 and 7.5g of Omega 6. Hemp seed oil has a very high level of EFAs - naturally.
We pride ourselves on having something so delicious that is also really GOOD for you. We make sure you get the best of both worlds by taking the upmost care in growing, harvesting, selecting and cold-pressing our hemp-seeds. Health conscious people around the world are already big fans, and now GOOD Hemp Seed Oil is available in the U.S!
Why is it so GOOD?
It's simple.
If you start with bad ingredients, you can process an oil to make it taste ok, but you have to accept compromises. It's easier to process oils that are not very good for us and are high in Saturated Fat. The production of Trans Fats is then seen as an acceptable risk. Oils that are high in the good fats, Polyunsaturated Fats, have also to accept that these fats are reduced during the refining process.
But if you start with the finest ingredients, use the simplest technique available, and in the case of the best oils ensure there is no heat used, then there is no compromise.
Not only do we select the best seeds and we do not use heat when we make our oil, but we make sure that our seed is dried with the minimum amount of heat. “No Compromise, No Transfats, just the GOOD Stuff’.
How do we know we're right?
There is a lot of information available across the world about Hemp Seed Oil. It has never really hit the mainstream, because the availability of hemp seed oil was limited and to be honest, it never tasted good enough.
GOOD Hemp Seed Oil has been used by chefs, nutritionists, prescribed by surgeons to patients undergoing surgery and most importantly used by our customers in everyday cooking for five years.

CHOLESTEROL & the impact of Hemp Oil
GOOD Hemp Seed Oil has at least 28% less saturated fat than Olive Oil, and contains all the Omega (Essential) fats. Current national and international dietary recommendations for the prevention of cardiovascular disease advocate decreasing the intake of saturated fats in order to lower blood cholesterol concentrations.
To put it simply, there are two types of Cholesterol – low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLC) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLC).
It is the proportion of LDLC to HDLC that influences the risk of cardiovascular disease. If you suffer from High Cholesterol, this is due to having too much LDLC and not enough HDLC.
Using GOOD Hemp Seed Oil instead of oil or fat with a higher saturated fatty acid content could contribute to improving this ratio, and this is associated with a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease.
The intake of Omega 6 and Omega 3 is also associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease, so replacing an oil with less Omegas with GOOD Hemp Seed Oil in your everyday diet could contribute to your cardiovascular health.
An acive lifestyle and healthy diet can make a big difference to Cholesterol levels, and make you feel better generally as well! |
